Abstract: According to one embodiment, a camera module includes a liquid crystal panel, an image sensor and an optical system. The liquid crystal panel is configured to display a coded aperture pattern. The optical system is interposed between the liquid crystal panel and the image sensor. The liquid crystal panel includes a liquid crystal layer containing liquid crystal molecules and dichroic dye molecules aligned following the liquid crystal molecules.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device includes: a first substrate; a second substrate facing the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate; a light source disposed so that light is incident on a side surface of the first substrate or a side surface of the second substrate; a first electrode provided on the first substrate; and second electrodes provided on the second substrate. The liquid crystal layer includes polymer-dispersed liquid crystals including a polymer network formed in a mesh shape and liquid crystal molecules held in a dispersed manner in gaps of the polymer network. A plurality of first slits of the second electrodes that are provided for each pixel are arranged at predetermined intervals in a first direction, and the first slits extend in a second direction intersecting the first direction.
