Abstract: According to one embodiment, a backlight device includes a support frame including a first frame body including a pair of first frame members and a second frame member connected to respective ends of the first frame members and a second frame body being separate from the first frame body, which connects other respective ends of the first frame members to each other, a reflective sheet on the support frame, a light guide on the reflective sheet within the support frame, an optical sheet on the light guide, and a light source unit in the support frame. The light source unit includes a wiring board on the second frame body and a light source on the wiring board, opposing an incidence surface of the light guide.

Abstract: A backlight device is provided and includes a frame formed of a sheet material; a first adhesive layer provided on one surface of the frame; a reflective sheet attached to the frame with the first adhesive layer; an optical member disposed on the reflective sheet in the frame; and a light source disposed in the frame and configured to emit light to the optical member, wherein in at least a part of the frame, a width of the frame and a width of the first adhesive layer are equal to each other, and at least an internal surface of the frame and an internal surface of the first adhesive layer are flush with each other.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel and a backlight device. The backlight device includes a case with a bottom plate and a side plate, a light guide on the bottom plate, and a light source device. The light source device includes a wiring substrate and a light-emitting element on the wiring substrate. The wiring substrate includes a mounting portion on which the light-emitting element is mounted, a connection wiring portion on a back surface side of the bottom plate, and a joint portion which joints the mounting portion and the connection wiring portion together. The joint portion extends from an inside to an outside of the case through a gap between the side plate of the case and the liquid crystal panel.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel and a backlight device. The backlight device includes a case with a bottom plate and a side plate, a light guide on the bottom plate, and a light source device.
