    Abstract: Disclosed is a light-emitting element including a first electrode, a first light-emitting layer, an ionic-liquid layer, a second light-emitting layer, and a second electrode. The first light-emitting layer is located over the first electrode and includes a first emissive polymer and an ionic liquid. The ionic-liquid layer is located over the first light-emitting layer and includes an ionic liquid. The second light-emitting layer is located over the ionic-liquid layer and includes a second emissive polymer and an ionic liquid. The second electrode is located over the second light-emitting layer. The light-emitting element may further include a first substrate under the first electrode, a second substrate over the second electrode, and a sealing layer located between the first substrate and the second substrate and surrounding the first electrode.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a liquid crystal display substrate and a color separation element substrate. The display substrate has a stripe structure in which different color filters are alternately arranged in a display area along a first direction and the same color filters are arranged along a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and the different color filters are compartmentalized by frames along the first direction and the second direction. The element substrate has color separation grooves formed along the first direction in the display area, and grooves formed along the second direction in a region thereof where the color separation grooves are formed, so as to oppose the frame of the display substrate.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, in a display device, a display substrate includes color filters of a plurality of colors arranged in a display area. The color filters are arranged in different colors alternately in a first direction and the same colors in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. A first separation substrate separates wavelength light from received backlight according to the arrangement of the colors in the first direction, and outputs the separated light to a second separation substrate. The second separation substrate separates wavelength light from the received light from the first separation substrate according to the color of each row in the second direction, and outputs the separated light to the display substrate.
