    摘要: A system and method for ad-hoc beyond line of sight high frequency (HF) radio frequency communication is disclosed. Embodiments of the present invention may augment the HF waveform incorporated with Advanced automatic link establishment (A2LE) to determine relay-hop paths between a plurality of HF nodes. Systems herein may setup and teardown bi-directional one hop HF communication sessions between two HF nodes having RF connectivity directly as well as through an intermediary relay node. Additionally, the setup and teardown may include bi-directional relay hop HF communication sessions between two HF nodes through multiple intermediary relay nodes. In performing the bi-directional relay hop HF communication sessions, systems herein may select a relay node, perform automatic link monitoring and link re-establishment, support message store and forward, and route HF communication along a path around potential barriers to communication (e.g., nuclear scintillation, solar flares, and coronal mass events).

    摘要: A method includes determining that a first receiver of a node of a mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is in an electromagnetic contested environment for a first frequency. The method also includes scanning a frequency coverage range of a second receiver of the node for unused frequencies. The method additionally includes selecting a frequency from the unused frequencies, the selected frequency to be used for communication of messages from another node of the MANET to the node via the second receiver. The method further includes transmitting, to the other node, a message including information of the selected frequency via the transmitter.

A communication device such as a mobile telephone or a modem can establish a position as a communications intermediary supporting communications between a first communication device such as a personal computer and a third communication device such as a server. The intermediary can detect a security feature between these “end devices”, and disable security features on intermediate segments of the end-to-end communication link. The end-to-end communication may utilize a virtual private network as a security feature and other security features on the intermediate segments can be disabled when they provide negligible additional security for the communications.

    摘要: Situational awareness enhancement is promoted in a radio communication transceiver receiving non-verbal content and verbal content from a remote source. A vocoder communicatively coupled with the transceiver receives the verbal content packets, and a situational awareness encoder/decoder communicatively coupled with the transceiver receives the non-verbal content packets. The encoder/decoder links and synchronizes the verbal content packets with the corresponding non-verbal content packets, and provides the verbal content packets to the vocoder in parallel with the provision of the non-verbal content packets to the encoder/decoder. The non-verbal and verbal content is extracted from the respective packets and are synchronously output for display and playback, respectively.
