摘要: In one aspect, an embodiment of the invention provides a back pack cinch for a strap securing a breathing tank to a buoyancy compensation device worn by a diver. The back pack cinch includes a cinch body. A cover is rotatably mounted to the cinch body. The cover has an open position and a closed position. The cover in the closed position is configured to tension a strap. A tab is rotatably mounted to the cinch body. The tab has an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, a portion of the strap is pressed against the serrated bearing surface by the tab to hold the portion of the strap in a fixed position.

The back pack includes a tank mounting structure having a front surface facing away from an underwater breathing gas tank when an underwater breathing gas tank is operably mounted to the tank mounting structure. The tank mounting structure defines a recess. The front surface defines an opening of the recess. The tank mounting structure defines a bottom surface of the recess opposite the opening in the front surface. The back pack includes a strap and a buckle. The buckle has a latched state for securing the strap in a fixed position for securing an underwater breathing gas tank to the tank mounting structure. The buckle, when in a latched state, is positioned at least partially within the recess.

摘要: A passive jaw exerciser is provided for application of an anatomically applied jaw moving force for pivoting of the jaw at its tempero-mandibular joint or to provide a motion to the jaw which is beneficial in facial orthopedics. A body structure is provided having guide tracks which guide movement of a carriage according to the character of movement that is desired. The carriage is movable by a lever operated push rod to thereby cause corresponding movement of a mandibular jaw piece supported by a carriage relative to a maxillary jaw piece supported by the exerciser body. The position of engagement between the lever and the push rod is adjustable through selection of any one of a number of spaced slots that are formed in parallel webs of the lever structure.

摘要: An interactive dive apparatus for use by a scuba diver to determine a maximum dive duration, including an input interface for inputting dive specific parameters including a J-factor for adjusting a no-stop time calculation to compensate for various environmental and physiological parameters, a clock for determining an elapsed dive time, and a depth sensor for detecting a present depth and a maximum depth. The depth sensor tracks diver dwell time in each of plural predetermined depth ranges, and a CPU determines a no-stop time in accordance with the user inputted dive specific parameters and the detected dwell time. The interactive dive apparatus further includes a display screen for displaying at least the no-stop time, elapsed dive time duration and the current depth.

摘要: An exerciser is provided for application of an anatomically applied force to the jaw for pivoting of the jaw at its tempero-mandibular joint or to provide a motion to the jaw, or resistance to motion of the jaw which is beneficial in facial orthopedics. A structure is provided having curvilinear guide tracks which guide movement of a carriage according to the character of movement that is desired. The carriage is movable to thereby allow corresponding movement of a mandibular jaw member supported by the carriage relative to a maxillary jaw member supported by the exerciser body. Through suitable linkages, motion may be imparted to the carriage or resistance exerted against its motion by manual action, by a spring or by a motor. The linkage may provide for adjustment of mechanical advantage or range of motion through selection of slots or holes formed in parts of the linkage structure.
