Abstract: A permanent magnet for a rotating electrical machine includes a magnet body. The magnet body includes a magnetization direction, a first side surface and a second side surface opposite to the first side surface in a first direction perpendicular to the magnetization direction, and at least one first slit passing through the magnet body in the magnetization direction. The at least one first slit extends in the first direction to the first side surface and not to the second side surface.
