Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, an image forming unit, a covering member, and a light emitting unit. The apparatus body has an opening through which an internal space is exposed. The image forming unit includes an image carrier to form an image on a sheet. The covering member has a closing face capable of closing the opening of the apparatus body from above. The covering member is pivotally supported on the apparatus body to pivot between a close position where the closing face closes the internal space and an open position where a portion of the image forming unit is exposed to the outside. The light emitting unit is attached to the closing face, and emits a light to the circumferential surface of the image carrier to form the electrostatic latent image in a state where the covering member is at the close position.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a cover portion and an auxiliary tray. The cover portion is displaced between a closing position for closing the supply port and an opening position for opening the supply port. The auxiliary tray is attached to a sheet stack surface of the cover portion, and supports the sheet, together with the cover portion at the opening position. The auxiliary tray is, either in a first attachment state or in a second attachment state, attached to the cover portion. In the first attachment state, a longitudinal direction of the auxiliary tray extends along a width direction that crosses a sheet insertion direction and the auxiliary tray is stored in the sheet stack surface. In the second attachment state, the longitudinal direction extends along the sheet insertion direction, and the auxiliary tray extends out from the cover portion toward an upstream in the sheet insertion direction.

Abstract: A toner container includes a container body, a cylindrical portion and a cap. The container body has a toner filling port. The cylindrical portion is provided around the filling port. The cap is detachable and closes an opening of the cylindrical portion. The cap includes: claw parts provided deformably and insertable into the cylindrical portion to be engaged with an edge of the filling port; a link piece connecting tip ends of the claw parts; a disk part having an opening; a closing plate capable of closing the opening of the disk part; and a fixing member which fixes the closing plate to the disk part. The closing plate is fixed to the disk part with the fixing member and the claw parts are engaged with the edge of the filling opening, so that the opening of the cylindrical is closed by the closing plate.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a main body housing, an openable/closable part, a sheet feeding tray, an image forming device, a sheet feeding roller, a first coupling, a drive gear, a second coupling, a biasing member, and a link mechanism. The first coupling is provided in the sheet feeding roller. The second coupling is provided coaxially with the drive gear, rotatable following the drive gear, slidable relative to the drive gear in an axial direction and capable of fitting to the first coupling. The biasing member biases the second coupling to the first coupling to connect the second coupling to the first coupling. The link mechanism disconnects the second coupling from the first coupling against a biasing force of the biasing member so as to block a transmission of the drive force with an opening of the openable/closable part.
