Abstract: An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer. The photosensitive layer contains a charge generating material, a hole transport material, a first resin, and a second resin. The first resin is contained in the same layer as the second resin. The second resin has a percentage content of at least 1% and no greater than 3% to the total mass of the first resin and the second resin. The first resin includes repeating units represented by formulas (1), (2), (3), and (4).




The repeating unit represented by the formula (3) has a percentage content of greater than 0% and less than 20% to the total number of repeats of the repeating units represented by the formulas (1) and (3). The second resin is a polyester resin different from the first resin.
