摘要： The invention generally relates to articles which may be used as headwear for infants that address issues related to flat head syndrome. In a first aspect, an article of headwear for an infant is provided. The headwear is configured to reduce pressure at the rear portion of the head when the infant is lying or reclining in the supine position. The headwear generally includes a head receiving portion having at least a top region and rear region for covering at least the top and rear portions of the head of the infant. In accordance with the invention, the headwear also includes support cushion positioned in the rear region of the head receiving portion. The support cushion is configured to support at least the rear portion of the head of the infant and to at least partially surround a pressure relief region. The pressure relief region is configured to receive at least a portion of the rear portion of the head such that pressure applied to the rear portion of the head is reduced when lying or reclining in the supine position. Methods for reducing pressure at the rear region of an infant's head while lying or reclining in the supine position are also provided.

摘要： A support pillow that comprises a pillow body having a medial region and two curved arms that extend from the medial region to define a generally open well. A back rest extends vertically upward from the medial region. This configuration permits an infant to be placed in the open well, with the curved arms of the pillow body supporting the infant from tipping side to side and the back rest supporting the infant's back. Conveniently, the back rest may be incorporated into a slipcover that is placed over the pillow body.

摘要： A pillow system comprises a curved main pillow having a pillow body having a midsection and a pair of ends. The pillow body is curved and is both flexible and firm to permit it to wrap around a user. A curved side pillow is operably attached to one of the ends of the main pillow such that the side pillow is positionable around the user's side and back when the main pillow is placed adjacent to the user's stomach. The side pillow has an inner portion near the main pillow and an outer portion away from the main pillow. The side pillow tapers downward in height from the inner portion to the outer portion.

摘要： Systems and methods enable attaching toys or other items to child care equipment such as a play gyms, swings, bouncers, changing pads, and the like. Attachment is accomplished by passing a compressible portion of the item to be attached through an opening in the child care equipment. The opening may be provided by a hole in the equipment, or by a hole in a clip engaged with a rod embedded in or attached to the equipment. The clip may slide along the rod to adjust the position of the item. In one application, rods embedded in a play gym provide a structural support for a canopy of the play gym, and also may receive clips for attaching toys or other items to the play gym.
