摘要： Apparatus and methods for providing therapeutic treatment for symptoms associated with GERD and/or other digestive disorders and/or other medical conditions are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a support element and a conformable riser element adjacent the support element. The riser element and the support element collectively form a body support member configured to support a user and define a receiving portion configured to receive a portion of the user's arm. The riser element and the support element are each disposed within a casing formed at least in part with a stretch material. In some embodiments, the riser element includes a polyester filler material and the stretch material includes a four-way stretch material. The four-way stretch material in combination with the polyester filler material enables the riser element to be conformable.

User reconfigurable, it does not require any external or internal power sources. The cushion elements may be methodically arranged over time to affect change in the relationship between the bones and their related connecting tissues, tendons, cartilage and ligaments of the user.

摘要： A support pillow with dual infant support pillows that can be configured in a face-to-face or opposing position and, alternately, in a side-by-side flanking position. Two C-shaped pillow segments are joined on one side by a hinge or joint. When the joint is open, the adjoining arms are generally co-linear. When the support pillow is folded at the joint, the two adjoining arms of the C-shaped pillow segments are adjacent and generally parallel. A supportive body wrap may be included for one or both pillow segments. The support pillow may also serve as a body or maternity pillow for a single adult. Additionally, the joint allows the pillow to be folded for use as a study or lounging pillow for an adult or older child. Still further, the pillow can be used as a nursing pillow with attached back support for mothers and caregivers.

摘要： A casing-free, elongated half bolster, cut from low density polyurethane foam, that, in combination with a conventional fitted sheet and mattress pad or like bedclothes, is sandwiched between them while they are secured to a mattress and enclose its sleeping surface and sides. Juxtaposed between the two bedclothes, the half bolster is positioned atop the sleeping surface and held there in whatever place and for however long the user deems fit. Supplanting mechanical fasteners are surprisingly strong frictional binding/electrostatic clinging forces which act at the interface between the half bolster's convex upper surface and the fitted sheet, as well as at the interface between its flat-faced base and the mattress pad. Even when subjected to substantial lateral force(s), the largely unfettered half bolster, arrayed sandwich-style between bedclothes, holds its ground, making it a much needed time saver for caregivers and a therapeutic boon for care recipients.

摘要： A reconfigurable support pillow comprising an elongate center section with a short, curved arm on each end. Between each of the arms and the center section is a substantially flat connecting section with inwardly curved side edges. This shape allows the pillow to be placed into several configurations. In a first configuration, the center section is bent and the connecting sections overlap each other without creating a thickened area at the point where the connecting sections cross. Additionally, the curved ends of the pillow arms can be overlapped providing an oval configuration with a double thickness at one side. Still further, the pillow can be used with the center section straight and curved arms turned inward towards each other. Each configuration provides different advantages and use. The pillow may comprise a washable cover with removable inserts.

摘要： An axillary support device is provided for decompressing the axilla (armpit) and associated structures in a sidelying position. A thoracic cushion provides firm axillary support to a user at the level of the mid to upper thorax, distal to the axilla. A head cushion connected to the thoracic cushion supports the user's head and may maintain a neutral cervical spine alignment position. A connector connecting the cushions creates a valley to receive an upper arm of the user. A back support may be used to maintain the sidelying position. An inflatable bladder may be used to adjust the axillary support device in order to appropriately relieve pressure on the user's axilla and associated structures. With the axillary support device, the upper arm of the user is relatively free to extend perpendicularly in front of the body in the sidelying position with reduced stress on the lateral shoulder and axilla.
