The shampoo compositions typically have a weight ratio of the total amount of the one or more betaine surfactants to the total amount of the one or more anionic surfactants, the one or more fatty amine surfactants, and the one or more nonionic surfactants that is 0.8:1 to 5:1 and are typically substantially free of anionic sulfate surfactants and silicones.
