Abstract: The invention relates to a Pickering-type emulsion, in particular a cosmetic emulsion, comprising: (a) at least one synthetic phyllosilicate of molecular formula Mg3Si4O10(OH)2; (b) at least one aqueous phase; and (c) at least one oil phase. The invention also relates to the use of the synthetic phyllosilicate as an agent for stabilising the emulsion, a method for producing the emulsion, and a cosmetic treatment method comprising the application of the emulsion to the skin and/or nails.
