Abstract:
Provided are a display device with integrated touch screen and a method of driving the same that reduce a touch error due to the switch of an image and thus enhance touch sensing performance. The display device includes a display panel, a driver IC, and a touch IC. The driver IC respectively supplies a plurality of data voltages, corresponding to frame-unit image data, to a plurality of pixels formed in the display panel, and calculates average luminance of a plurality of touch blocks. Each of the touch blocks includes a certain number of pixels. The touch IC supplies a touch driving signal to each of the touch blocks, compensates for a capacitive change in the pixels due to switch of an image, and senses a touch.
Abstract:
An electronic device comprises a display module including a plurality of touch electrodes, a cover window covering a front surface of the display module, a housing including an electrically conductive housing plate disposed below a rear surface of the display module and a housing side wall surrounding at least a portion of a side surface of the display module or supporting the display module, and a driving circuit sensing variation in capacitance between one or more of the touch electrodes and the housing plate, caused by a change in distance between said one or more of the touch electrodes and the housing plate.

Abstract:
Disclosed is an LCD device which realizes decreased thickness, simplified process, and decreased cost by using a common electrode for formation of electric field to drive liquid crystal as a sensing electrode, and removing a touch screen from an upper surface of the liquid crystal panel, the LCD device comprising gate and data lines crossing each other to define plural pixels on a lower substrate; a pixel electrode in each of the plural pixels; plural common electrode blocks patterned at the different layer from the pixel electrode, wherein the common electrode blocks, together with the pixel electrode, forms an electric field, and senses a user's touch; and plural sensing lines electrically connected with the common electrode blocks, wherein, if the sensing line is electrically connected with one of the common electrode blocks, the sensing line is insulated from the remaining common electrode blocks.
