Discussed are a display device with an integrated touch screen and a method of operating the same. The display device according to an embodiment includes a display panel including a plurality of pixel electrodes; a touch screen including m number of electrodes which are formed to overlap with the plurality of pixel electrodes, wherein m is a multiple of n, and n is an integer equal to or greater than two, and wherein the m electrodes are divided into n number of electrode groups; a touch driver configured to generate a touch scan signal and to supply the generated touch scan signal to a display driver; and the display driver configured to apply a common voltage or the touch scan signal to one or more of the m electrodes depending on a driving mode of the display device.

Provided are a display device with integrated touch screen and a method of driving the same that reduce a touch error due to the switch of an image and thus enhance touch sensing performance. The display device includes a display panel, a driver IC, and a touch IC. The driver IC respectively supplies a plurality of data voltages, corresponding to frame-unit image data, to a plurality of pixels formed in the display panel, and calculates average luminance of a plurality of touch blocks. Each of the touch blocks includes a certain number of pixels. The touch IC supplies a touch driving signal to each of the touch blocks, compensates for a capacitive change in the pixels due to switch of an image, and senses a touch.

The present disclosure relates to a touch display device and a driving method of the same, and more particularly, to a touch display device, in which a touch is sensed by only utilizing electrodes and a line structure for display so that there is no need to provide a touch panel additionally or form additional touch electrodes in a display panel, thereby reducing the size (thickness) of the touch display device and simplifying a manufacturing process of the touch display device, and a driving method of the same.

The present disclosure relates to a display device, a display panel, a fingerprint-sensing method, and a circuit for sensing a fingerprint. More particularly, the display device, the display panel, the fingerprint-sensing method, and the circuit for sensing a fingerprint may receive a signal from a data line electrically connected to a pixel electrode through a switching transistor and may detect fingerprint information after a driving voltage is applied to the pixel electrode disposed in a pixel area, thereby detecting a fingerprint without including a separate fingerprint sensor outside a display panel.

Disclosed are a display panel and a display device which can sense a fingerprint. A photo-sensor is disposed within a sub-pixel, a voltage change of a pixel electrode according to a leakage current of the photo-sensor exposed to light is sensed, and a fingerprint is sensed, so that a fingerprint can be sensed in an active area of a display panel. Also, a voltage change of the pixel electrode is sensed using a common electrode without directly applying a driving voltage to the pixel electrode, so as to perform driving of the pixel electrode and light irradiation together, thereby enabling a reduction in a fingerprint sensing mode and detection of only the level of a leakage voltage during fingerprint sensing. Therefore, a sensing circuit can be efficiently configured, and sensing sensitivity can be improved.

A touch display device can sense a fingerprint touch using a pixel electrode and a data line. Before a capacitance variance of the pixel electrode in a fingerprint touch sensing interval is sensed, the voltage of only the data line is fixed to be identical to a voltage applied to a (+) terminal of an operational amplifier of a fingerprint touch sensing unit so that a capacitance variance of the data line is not transferred to the fingerprint touch sensing unit, and a capacitance variance of only the pixel electrode may be transferred. The capacitance variance of only the pixel electrode, not including the capacitance variance of the data line, is transferred to the fingerprint touch sensing unit so that the distinction between a peak and a valley of a fingerprint touching a display panel is enhanced. Therefore, a fingerprint touch sensing performance can be improved.
