Abstract: A multi-layer display device and a method for driving the same are disclosed, in which an image of a front display panel may be displayed without being affected by an image of a rear display panel, and an image of a rear display panel may be displayed without being affected by an image of a front display panel. Abstract: Discussed are a backlight unit and an autostereoscopic 3D (three-dimensional) display device including the same, in which a 3D image can be displayed without using a 3D light controller that includes a liquid crystal layer.
