Abstract: The present specification relates to a clothes treatment apparatus and a control method therefor, the apparatus comprising, in order to improve an air flow mechanism for circulating air to a drum, the drum for accommodating objects to be treated, an air circulation path connected to the drum, a circulation fan, which is provided on the downstream side of a heat exchanger inside the air circulation path and generates suction force so as to suction the air of the air circulation path and supply same to the drum, a water collection part formed at the lower side of the drum so as to collect condensate water, and a trap having a bottom surface that is lower than a peripheral area in the water collection part so as to allow the condensate water to gather therein.

Abstract: A control method of a dryer according to an embodiment of the present invention in which a heat pump system is provided as a heat source for heating air supplied to a drum includes selecting one of a plurality of operation modes in which initial driving frequencies are different from one another and inputting a drying start command to the dryer by a user; checking an outer temperature and comparing the outer temperature with a preset reference temperature T by a control unit; performing the operation mode selected by the user by the control unit, in a case where the outer temperature is equal to or more than the reference temperature T; performing an operation mode in which the initial driving frequency of the compressor is the highest of the plurality of operation modes, in a case where the outer temperature is less than the reference temperature T.

Abstract: A laundry treating apparatus comprises a drum receiving clothes; a fan supplying air to the drum; a heater heating the air supplied to the drum; and a dry level sensing unit determining a dry level of the clothes. A control method comprises setting a dry time; supplying air to the clothes by operating the fan or operating the fan and the heater, and controlled to be performed for the dry time; and resetting the dry time, when the dry level measured by the dry level sensing unit at a time past a preset reference time period from the start of the air supply step is less than a preset reference dry level, wherein resetting the dry time step adds more time to the reference time period.
