Abstract: An impact tool has less size increase. An impact tool includes a motor, a spindle, an anvil including an anvil shaft and an anvil projection, a hammer including a hammer projection to strike the anvil projection in a rotation direction, a hammer case accommodating the hammer, an anvil bearing held in the hammer case and surrounding the anvil shaft, and a cup washer facing a front surface of the anvil projection. The cup washer includes an inner ring portion in contact with a rear end face of the anvil bearing, an outer ring portion surrounding the anvil bearing, and a connecting ring portion connecting an outer edge of the inner ring portion and an inner edge of the outer ring portion.

Abstract: An impact tool (1) includes: a motor (6) having a rotor (27) that is rotatable about a rotational axis (AX); a spindle (8) disposed forward of the stator and rotating when the rotor rotates; an anvil (10) having at least a portion disposed forward of the spindle and mounting a bit (300); a hammer (47), which rotatably impacts the anvil; and a housing (2), which has a motor-housing part (21) that houses the motor. The maximum tightening torque is 140 N·m or more. Overall length (La), which is the distance—in the front-rear direction parallel to the rotational axis—between a rear-end portion of the motor-housing part and a front-end portion of the anvil, is 100 mm or less. Center height Hc, which is the distance in the up-down direction between the rotational axis and an upper-end portion of the motor-housing part, is 29 mm or less.

Abstract: To improve operability it is desireable to decrease the size of an impact tool. The impact tool includes a motor, a spindle including a spindle shaft and a flange. An anvil of the tool includes an anvil shaft and an anvil projection. A hammer of the tool includes a base surrounding the spindle shaft, a front ring protruding frontward from an outer circumference of the base, and a hammer projection to strike the anvil projection in a rotation direction. The base has a groove at a boundary with the hammer projection. One of ordinary skill in the art would appreciate that the arrangement disclosed herein results in space savings that allows for overall decrease in the size of an impact too.

Abstract: An impact tool includes: a brushless motor; a spindle, which is rotated by the brushless motor; a hammer, which is held on the spindle; an anvil, which is impacted in a rotational direction by the hammer; a polymer housing, which houses the brushless motor; a hammer case, which is connected to the polymer housing and houses the hammer and the spindle; and a light unit, which is held on the hammer case and comprises a plurality of light-emitting devices. The maximum tightening torque of the anvil is 1,000 N·m or more and 2,500 N·m or less.
