Abstract: The present invention provides a controller of a tethering device, wherein the controller includes a tethering manager and a cellular configuration manager. The tethering manager is configured to generating tethering parameters of at least one network interface of the tethering device, wherein the at least one network interface of the tethering device is used to communicate with an electronic device, and the electronic device shares a cellular network of the tethering device via the at least one network interface. The cellular configuration manager is configured to determine a first cellular mode according to the tethering parameters of at least one network interface, to control a cellular modem to use the first cellular mode.

Abstract: A communications apparatus communicating with at least one cellular network includes a radio transceiver and a processor. The radio transceiver is capable of transmitting or receiving wireless radio frequency signals to or from an air interface in the cellular network. The processor is configured to determine whether an inter-RAT change will be triggered in a subsequent procedure when the communications apparatus is in a connected mode. When the processor determines that an inter-RAT change procedure will be triggered, the processor is configured to selectively perform a predetermined procedure instead of the subsequent procedure to avoid the inter-RAT change.

Abstract: The wireless communication device includes one or more wireless transceivers and a controller. The controller selects one of the first frequency bands and one of the second frequency bands, which do not overlap, and assigns the selected first frequency band to one of the wireless transceivers, thereby enabling one of the wireless transceivers to camp on a cell on the selected first frequency band. Also, the controller assigns the selected second frequency band to one of the wireless transceivers, thereby enabling one of the wireless transceivers to connect to one of the non-cellular networks on the selected second frequency band.
