摘要： A data collection device and a temperature monitor unit monitors the temperature of a remote structure. The temperature monitor unit has a thermocouple, a communications device assembly having an antenna and a transmitter, a power supply for powering the controller and the communications device, and an enclosure for surrounding the communications device and the power supply with the thermocouple and the antenna extending therethrough. The communications device obtains a temperature from the thermocouple and activates the transmitter to send the temperature to the data collection device through the antenna.

摘要： A temperature monitoring unit includes a thermocouple, a communication device, having an antenna, controlled by a controller, and a power supply, surrounded by an enclosure, buried underground at a first distance away from a structure. The enclosure is buried underground with the ground having the ability to further insulate the insulating material. A reference electrode assembly, buried underground at a second distance away from the structure, is configured to obtain corrosion measurements. An antenna assembly has a transmitter for communicating with a remote monitoring system, located above ground away from the structure. An intelligent weather measurement unit mounted on the structure and being coupled to the communication device to collect weather information and to send weather information to the communication device for transmittal to the remote monitoring system.

摘要： An electrochemical cell has a high-performance alloy cathode, an oxidation resistant anode, an electrolyte, and a power supply. The electrolyte is contained within growth media containing an aqueous solution and a plurality of transport ions therein. The high-performance alloy cathode and the oxidation resistant anode are submerged in the growth media at least partially. The power supply provides power to the oxidation resistant anode to attract the plurality of transport ions to treat the growth media.
