Abstract: An image compensation circuit for controlling a luminance of a display panel is configured to: receive a plurality of image data; perform gamma tuning to convert the plurality of image data into a plurality of original gamma codes according to a plurality of first compensation values corresponding to a first operation mode; calculate a plurality of gamma difference values between the plurality of first compensation values and a plurality of second compensation values corresponding to a second operation mode; and calculate a plurality of output gamma codes corresponding to the second operation mode according to the plurality of original gamma codes by using the plurality of gamma difference values.

Abstract: The present invention provides an image compensation circuit generating output image data to drive a display panel having pixels. The image compensation circuit includes first/second control circuits and first/second compensation circuits. The first control circuit may receive input image data for the pixels and generate a plurality of first compensation values corresponding to compensation for voltage drop on the display panel according to the input image data. The first compensation circuit may compensate the input image data for the pixels with the first compensation values. The second control circuit may receive the first compensation values from the first control circuit and generate a plurality of second compensation values corresponding to compensation for channel length modulation (CLM) effect of the pixels according to the first compensation values. The second compensation circuit may compensate the input image data for the pixels with the second compensation values, to generate the output image data.

Abstract: The invention provides a color calibration device, a color calibration method and a calibration table generation method. The color calibration device includes a calibration table circuit, a ratio circuit and an image processing circuit. The calibration table circuit provides a selected calibration table including a plurality of zone calibration parameters. Each of the zone calibration parameters corresponds to a corresponding zone among a plurality of zones of a display panel. The ratio circuit calculates a subpixel calibration parameter corresponding to a current subpixel according to at least one of the zone calibration parameters in the selected calibration table. The image processing circuit calibrates original subpixel data of the current subpixel according to the subpixel calibration parameter to generate calibrated subpixel data of the current subpixel.

Abstract: A display control circuit transforms a plurality of input points of an input image to a plurality of target subpixels of a display panel. In the display panel, a first row of the target subpixels and a second row of the target subpixels are non-aligned in a vertical direction. The display control circuit includes a subpixel rendering circuit. The subpixel rendering circuit maps a first row of the input points to the first row of the target subpixels, and maps a second row of the input points to the second row of the target subpixels. The coordinates of the first row of the input points are respectively equivalent to the coordinates of the first row of the target subpixels. The coordinates of the second row of the input points are respectively equivalent to the coordinates of the second row of the target subpixels being shifted in a horizontal direction.

Abstract: A method of handling overdrive for image data includes the steps of: receiving a current image data and a previous image data; obtaining an overdrive image data by finding an overdrive lookup table according to the current image data and the previous image data; generating a weighting mask comprising a plurality of weighting parameters; calculating an output image data by combining the overdrive image data with the current image data according to one of the weighting parameters corresponding to a pixel of the current image data; and outputting the output image data to the pixel.
