Abstract: Example embodiments generally relate to devices and methods for remapping of paging subgroups. A user equipment (UE) device may be configured to receive from a base station an explicit or implicit indication of remapping between one or more first scheme paging subgroups and one or more L1 paging subgroups, remap a first scheme paging subgroup of the UE device to a L1 paging subgroup based on the received indication of remapping, monitor for a paging early indication (PEI) from the base station including an indication of the remapped L1 paging subgroup, and receive a paging message from the base station based on the PEI.

Abstract: The example and non-limiting embodiments relate generally to synchronization and, more particularly, to a sidelink synchronization procedure. Exemplified embodiments are provided that may include determining a new synchronization source by a source user equipment, where the source user equipment is configured to provide synchronization to at least one receiving user equipment with use of a sidelink. The exemplified embodiments may further include transmitting by the source user equipment to the at least one receiving user equipment an indication that the source user equipment will update from a current synchronization source to the new synchronization source. The exemplified embodiments may further include transmitting synchronization signals and control signals from the source user equipment to the at least one receiving user equipment using an updated reference frequency corresponding to use of the new synchronization source by the source user equipment.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product where a user equipment, in a wireless communications system, measures downlink radio quality based on available downlink signals. The user equipment compares the measured downlink radio quality with RLM thresholds. Based on that comparison, the user equipment determines its in-sync or out-of-sync status. Prior to the measuring, the user equipment can determine the RLM thresholds based on hypothetical NPDCCH channels; can receive in-sync and out-of-sync thresholds from the base station; can receive an additional offset for in-sync and out-of-sync thresholds under enhanced coverages and can determine the RLM thresholds for normal converge on the hypothetical NPDCCH channels; or can receive an offset between in-sync and out-of-sync thresholds from a base station and determine the RLM out-of-sync threshold based on the hypothetical NPDCCH channels and the RLM in-of-sync threshold based on the out-of-sync threshold and the offset provided by the base station.
