The head portion includes an electrical connecting element; cleaning elements for cleaning teeth; and a tongue cleaning electrode for enabling a current flow into a user's tongue during use. The cleaning elements and the tongue cleaning electrode are arranged on substantially opposing sides of the head portion. The electrical connecting element on the head portion is electrically coupled to the tongue cleaning electrode for establishing an electrical connection with a corresponding electrical connecting element located at a handle portion in a connected state.

    摘要： The invention relates to a small electrical appliance, for example an electric toothbrush (1), with two elements to be driven and with an electric motor (10). The small electrical appliance has a device (16.1; 16.2; 16.3) that drives the first and/or the second element depending on the direction of rotation of the electric motor (10). The first element to be driven can be a movable brush head (2), and the second element to be driven can be a pump (7, 14) for conveying a care agent to the brush head (2) from a reservoir, wherein the device (16.1, 16.2, 16.3) drives the brush head (2) in both directions of rotation of the electric motor (10), but drives the pump (7, 14) only in one direction of rotation of the electric motor (10). If the electric toothbrush (1) has a brush head (2) and first and second reservoirs (6, 13) for two different care agents, the first reservoir (6) is connected via a first pump (7) to a first channel (8) and the second reservoir (13) is connected via a second pump (14) to a second channel (15), these channels opening into the brush head (2). The first and/or second pump (7, 14) can alternately be driven from the electric motor (10), by means of a device (16/1; 16.2; 16.3), depending on the direction of rotation of the electric motor (10).

    摘要： Disclosed is an electric toothbrush (1) comprising a handle part (2) and an attachment part (3), e.g. a bristle head (4). Preferably, the bristle head (4) can be driven by a first drive unit (6.1) encompassing a first electric motor (7.1). A reservoir (8.1) for a care substance is connected to a duct (11.1) extending into the bristle head (4) by means of a pump (10.1) which can be driven by a second drive unit (6.2) encompassing a second electric motor (7.2). The first and the second electric motor (7.1, 7.2) are powered by a disposable or a rechargeable battery (12). A housing (16) of the handle part (2) is subdivided into a first and a second chamber (19, 20) by means of a liquid-tight partition (17) that extends in the longitudinal direction of the handle part (2). The first and the second drive unit (6.1, 6.2) and the disposable or rechargeable battery (12) are arranged in the first chamber (19) while the reservoir (8.1) and the pump (10.1) are disposed in the second chamber (20). The pump (10.1) can be driven by the second drive unit (6.1) via a lever (15), pumping movements (A′-B′) being transmitted from the lever (15) to the pump (10.1) via an integrated soft membrane (18) of the partition (17) by means of non-positive contact or via a liquid-tight slide passage (21) in the partition (17).

    摘要： The invention is directed to a device (1) for cleaning teeth and gums, which is provided with a liquid container (2) that is joined by way of a liquid supply conduit (7) to an inlet (8) of a pump (9) adapted to be driven by an electric motor (10). The pump, when activated, draws a liquid (3) from the liquid container (2) to the inlet (8). Still further, an air supply conduit (13) is provided which is connected to the liquid supply conduit (7) for the purpose of admixing air to the drawn liquid (3). According to the invention, at least a section (15) of the air supply conduit (13) is arranged at a level above a maximum possible level (14) of the liquid (3). This prevents the escape of liquid (3) from the device (1).
