摘要: A side-by-side cartridge assembly for dispensing a first fluid and a second fluid includes a first cartridge body and a second cartridge body having first and second cartridge coupling elements, respectively. The first cartridge body extends along an axial direction and has a radial boundary or periphery transverse to the axial direction. The first cartridge has a first neck portion of a neck, and the second cartridge has a second neck portion of the neck. The first neck portion projects from the first cartridge body such that the first neck portion is within the radial boundary or periphery of the first cartridge. As such, the first cartridge coupling element operatively connects to the second cartridge coupling element to secure the first cartridge to the second cartridge and form the neck for discharging a first fluid and a second fluid.

摘要: An entry mixing element is provided for mixing an incoming fluid flow having first and second unmixed components arranged so as to define a transverse flow cross-section perpendicular to a flow direction. The entry mixing element includes a central axis configured to be aligned with the flow direction of the incoming fluid flow, and an entry dividing wall extending parallel to the central axis and positioned to divide the incoming fluid flow into first and second fluid flow portions, each portion containing an amount of the first component and an amount of the second component. The entry dividing wall is configured to divide the incoming fluid flow into the first and second fluid flow portions in any rotational orientation of the entry mixing element about its central axis relative to the transverse flow cross-section of the incoming fluid flow. Related static mixers and methods of mixing are also provided.

摘要: A flow shifter baffle for mixing a fluid flow having at least two components, a static mixer and method of mixing. The flow shifter baffle includes a double divider wall element adjacent to a leading edge and a plurality of occluding walls coupled to the double divider wall element. The double divider wall element includes first and second generally parallel walls which extend across the entire transverse flow cross-section. The double divider wall element is configured to divide the fluid flow into a central flow portion and first and second peripheral flow portions. This division of the fluid flow using the double divider wall element and the plurality of occluding walls improves the mixing of separate components by producing a greater number of layers with less jumbling of the layers, when a layered composition of multiple components is delivered into the flow shifter baffle.

摘要: A static mixer includes a series of mixing elements, at least some of which are a double wedge mixing baffle. The double wedge mixing baffle includes first and second dividing panels oriented transverse to each other, first and second deflecting surfaces projecting from opposite sides of the first dividing panel, and third and fourth deflecting surfaces projecting from opposite sides of the second dividing panel. One or each of the deflecting surfaces includes first and second planar surfaces arranged at different angles relative to the fluid flow. The double wedge arrangement reduces retained waste volume within the mixer while further manipulating the flow characteristics of fluid flow entering and exiting the mixing baffle, to thereby optimize mixing performance.

摘要: A dispensing assembly includes a cartridge for containing a fluid and a mixer for mixing and dispensing the fluid. The cartridge includes a locking flange or wall and the mixer includes a locking latch configured to snap into and out of engagement with the locking flange. To this end, the mixer and the cartridge are coupled and uncoupled by a snap-on and snap-off engagement that does not require relative rotation of the mixer and the cartridge. The locking latch also includes a latch release mechanism such as a squeeze handle, a peel handle, or a locking ring for forcing the locking latch into and out of engagement with the locking flange. As a result, the connection of the mixer and the cartridge is a quick and easy process and cross contamination of fluids in multiple fluid cartridges is avoided.

摘要: A static mixer 10 for mixing a fluid flow having at least two components is disclosed, as well as a method for mixing first and second components with the static mixer 10. The static mixer 10 includes a mixing conduit 20 having a first inner surface 38a, a second inner surface 38b that extends from the first inner surface 38a, and a third inner surface 38c that extends from the first inner surface 38a to the second inner surface 38b. The first, second, and third inner surfaces 38a, 38b, 38c define a mixing passage receiving the fluid flow. The first and second inner surfaces 38a, 38b are offset by a first acute angle, the first and third surfaces 38a, 38c are offset by a second acute angle, and the second and third surfaces 38b, 38c are offset by a third acute angle. The static mixer 10 includes a mixing element 100 positioned in the mixing passage.

摘要: A fluid cartridge assembly includes a fluid cartridge and a cap. The fluid cartridge includes a cartridge body and a flange extending from the cartridge body. The cap includes a locking latch, first and second squeeze handles, and a lever. The locking latch is configured to engage the flange of the fluid cartridge to couple the cap to the cartridge. The first squeeze handle being operatively coupled to said locking latch and configured to be depressed in a radially inward direction toward said second squeeze handle causing said locking latch to move in a radially outward direction. The lever is coupled to at least one of the first and second squeeze handles and configured to move between two positions. In one position the squeeze handles are substantially prevented from moving in the radially inward direction, and in another position the squeeze handles can move freely in the radially inward direction.
