    Abstract: A display panel including a plurality of sub-pixel repeating units is provided. The sub-pixel repeating units are repeatedly arranged on the display panel. Each of the sub-pixel repeating units includes at least one first color sub-pixel and at least one second color sub-pixel. On the display panel, the adjacent first color sub-pixels form a first polygon, and the adjacent second color sub-pixels form a second polygon. The area of the first polygon is at least twice the area of the second polygon.

    Abstract: A display apparatus including a display panel and a display driver is provided. The display panel includes a sub-pixel repeat array. The sub-pixel repeat array is repeatedly arranged to form a pixel array on the display panel. The pixel array includes at least one map display unit. The display driver is coupled to the display panel. The display driver drives the display panel to display an image by using a sub-pixel rendering method. The image includes at least one specified intensity map. The map display unit includes a center sub-pixel unit and a plurality of neighboring sub-pixel units. The specified intensity map includes one or more white pixel points. In the map display unit, luminance summations of sub-pixels of different colors are equal. Furthermore, a display driving method is also provided.

    Abstract: A display panel and a display driver are provided. The display panel includes a plurality of sub-pixel repeating units, which are arranged repeatedly to form a pixel array. Each row of the sub-pixel repeating unit includes an odd number of sub-pixels, where every two sub-pixels are regarded as one pixel unit, and another sub-pixel is added at the last column of the sub-pixel repeating unit. The odd-numbered sub-pixels are respectively written by N groups of pixel data. The amount of these sub-pixels is 2N+1, which is between two to two and a half times of the amount of the pixel data. Each odd-numbered column of the sub-pixel repeating unit includes the sub-pixels of two different colors, which are alternately arranged in each odd-numbered column.

    Abstract: A display driver configured to drive a display panel is provided. The display panel displays an image frame in a first display mode or a second display mode. The display driver includes a first display driving channel and a second display driving channel. The first and the second display driving channels are configured to drive the display panel to display the image frame by using a sub-pixel rendering method. In the second display mode, the second display driving channel drives sub-pixels on the display panel to display corresponding grayscales by using a plurality of gamma voltages.
