Abstract: An image formation apparatus includes: an interface unit that receives data; an image formation unit that forms an image on a medium based on the received data; a main controller that controls the interface unit and the image formation unit; a power supply unit that supplies power from an external power source into the image formation apparatus; and a power source management unit that controls the power supply unit. When the power supply from the external power source is stopped in a power save mode and then is resumed, the power supply unit supplies no power to the interface unit and the main controller but supplies power to the power source management unit. When the power supply from the external power source is stopped in a normal operational mode and then is resumed, the power supply unit supplies power to the power source management unit, the interface unit, and the main controller.
