Abstract: In this side lock apparatus, a opening and closing member is fixed to a support unit so that the opening and closing member can be opened and closed, left and right latches being movably held on the opening and closing member, each of the left and right latches being urged by a pressure of a spring means toward a lock hole formed in the support unit, a free end portion of each of the latches being moved back from the lock hole in the support member against the spring means by an operation of the operating handle, wherein the left and right latches are operatively connected together via a link lever supported rotatably via a shaft on the opening and closing member, the operating handle being provided with an operating portion engageable with the latch, at least one latch being provided with not smaller than two contact surfaces engageable with the operating portion of the operating handle.

Abstract: A folding cup holder is provided with a base plate including one or more through holes; a holder arm for holding a cup, the holder arm being pivotally supported to the base plate; and a tray including one or more latch arms respectively inserted to the through holes, and axially supported to the base plate. The latch arms and the through holes are engaged with each other to hold the tray in a position for holding a cup and engagement thereof is cancelled in case that excessive force is applied to the tray.

Abstract: A folding cup holder is provided with a base plate; a pair of first arms having proximal end portions, being pivotally supported to the base plate; a pair of second arms each including a resilient latch portion, being pivotally supported to the base plate at proximal end portions thereof respectively; and a holder arm including a pair of engagement portions at both ends thereof and pivotally supported to the distal ends of the first arms and the distal ends of the second arms in differential axes. The engagement portions are engaged with the latch portions so that the holder arm is kept in an expanded state. The latch portions are resilient so that the engagement portions are allowed to override the resilient latch portions, thereby the holder arm is released to be free when excessive force is applied to the holder arm.
