Abstract: It is a catheter for a peritoneovenous shunt, which has a tapered distal inlet at an end of a catheter body constituted by a polyurethane tube that is 90 cm in length, 3 mm in outside diameter, and 2.8 mm in inside diameter. Further, a side inlet consisting of a plurality of through holes is provided in a side wall at a distance of 15 cm from this end. Moreover, an outlet consisting of a plurality of parallel linear slits is provided at a distance of 37 cm from the distal inlet of the catheter body.
