An input device according to the present disclosure is an input device arranged in a display device that sequentially applies a scanning signal to a plurality of scanning signal lines in one frame period to perform update of display, the input device comprising driving electrodes in quantity of N provided corresponding to the plurality of scanning signal lines, and a plurality of sensing electrodes arranged so as to intersect with the driving electrodes in quantity of N to form capacitive elements at intersection portions. In a touch detection period, a driving signal is sequentially applied to the driving electrodes in quantity of N, and a touch detection is performed based on a detection signal output from each of the plurality of sensing electrodes.

An input device according to the technology disclosed herein is one which is disposed on a user side of a display device, and includes a pair of coordinate detection electrodes that are disposed to face each other via a dielectric element. One of the pair of the coordinate detection electrodes is disposed on flexible film bonded on a surface on the user side of the display device. Electrodes of the display device serve as the other of the pair of the coordinate detection electrodes. Flexible film includes an extension part which extends from a detection region where the one of the coordinate detection electrodes is disposed. The extension part includes wiring parts which electrically couple to the coordinate detection electrodes and electrically and mechanically couple to connection parts that are disposed on the display device.

It is an object of the present invention to enhance detection accuracy during a touch operation in a capacitance coupling type input device. The input device includes a plurality of driving electrodes and a plurality of detection electrodes crossing each other, and capacitive elements formed in respective crossed portions between the driving electrodes and the detection electrodes. During a touch detection period, a driving signal is applied to the driving electrodes on a line block basis of scanning signal lines, and touch is detected based on a detection signal output from each of the detection electrodes, and the touch detection period is provided in a display update period in a horizontal scanning period of a display apparatus. Further, a driving signal to be applied to the driving electrodes is applied to a selected line block of the display apparatus to which the scanning signal is not being applied.

The positive electrode active material layer includes active material particles and an oxide film covering at least part of surfaces of the active material particles. The active material particles include a lithium-containing transition metal oxide, and the oxide film contains an oxide of a first element other than nonmetal elements. When a thickness of the positive electrode active material layer is denoted by TA, Tb>Tt is satisfied, where the Tb and the Tt are thicknesses of the oxide film at a position of 0.25TA and at a position of 0.75TA, respectively, from a surface of the positive electrode current collector in the positive electrode active material layer.

An object of the present technology is to provide an input device that is a capacitance coupling type input device capable of easily being incorporated into a display device. The input device includes: a plurality of driving electrodes 11 and a plurality of detection electrodes 12 arranged so as to cross each other; and capacitive elements formed between the driving electrodes and the detection electrodes. The driving electrodes 11 and the detection electrodes 12 are each configured by electrically connecting a plurality of island-like electrode blocks using connection portions, and the electrode blocks of the driving electrodes and the electrode blocks of the detection electrodes are arranged so as not to be opposed to each other. The island-like electrode blocks arrayed in a row direction are connected electrically with each other using the connection portions having an area smaller than the area of the electrode blocks arrayed in the row direction. The island-like electrode blocks arrayed in a column direction are connected electrically with each other using the connection portions having an area smaller than the area of the electrode blocks arrayed in the column direction.

An object of the present technology is to provide a display device that includes an input device capable of being easily incorporated into the display device as a capacitance coupling type input device. The display device is provided with an input device having a plurality of driving electrodes 11 formed by dividing a common electrode of a liquid crystal panel 1 via slits and detection electrodes 12 arranged to cross the driving electrodes 11, and a capacitive element is formed between respective ones of the driving electrodes 11 and the detection electrodes 12. The driving electrodes 11 and the detection electrodes 12 are constituted by electrically connecting a plurality of island-like electrode blocks 11a, 12a to each other via connection portions 11b, 12b, and the electrode blocks lla of the driving electrodes 11 and the electrode blocks 12a of the detection electrodes 12 are arranged not to be opposed to each other.

An input device for detecting a touch operation performed by a user includes a plurality of driving electrodes, and a plurality of detection electrodes which are disposed intersecting with the driving electrodes. The input device detects a position touched by a user by applying a driving signal to the driving electrode and detecting a detection signals outputted from each of the detection electrodes. The detection signal varies with a change in capacitance at an intersection between the driving electrode and the detection electrode. The input device further includes a plurality of signal correctors, each of which is provided for each driving electrode. The signal corrector is configured to add a correction signal to the driving signal in a rising portion and/or a falling portion of the driving signal and apply the driving signal added with the correction signal to the driving electrode.

The input device is provided in a display device configured to operate in either a first mode or a second mode, and to generate mode signal giving notice of the current operation mode and is configured to detect a contact position of a user. The input device includes a plurality of driving electrodes and touch controller. Touch controller is configured to determine the operation mode of display device based on mode signal, to generate touch driving signal based on a result of the determination, and to apply the generated touch driving signals to the driving electrodes.
