Abstract: A medical image obtaining apparatus includes: an image obtainer, which comprises an X-ray emitter configured to emit X-rays toward an object and an X-ray detector configured to detect X-rays that have penetrated the object, and is configured to obtain an image of a portion of the object based on the detected X-rays; a controller configured to generate a virtual ruler which indicates information about a location of the image, based on a rotation angle of the X-ray emitter; and a display configured to display the virtual ruler on the image.

Abstract: A method of displaying a medical image includes: obtaining a first image and a second image that are images of an object captured by using an X-ray; generating a synthesis image by overlapping a first overlapped region of the first image and a second overlapped region of the second image; obtaining information about synthesis accuracy representing a degree to which overlapped portions of the object represented by the first overlapped region and the second overlapped region coincide with each other; and displaying the information about the synthesis accuracy and the synthesis image together.
