Abstract: A broadcasting signal receiving apparatus a method of controlling the same are provided. The broadcasting signal receiving apparatus includes: a signal receiver configured to receive a broadcasting signal including a stream of data for displaying an image; a buffer configured to store the stream; an interface configured to interface the buffer and a storage device including a storage space for reproducing the stream; a controller configured to control the interface to receive storage information about the stream from the buffer, to receive the stream from the buffer based on the received storage information, and to store the stream in the storage device.
