    摘要： A recording medium having a toner image formed thereon is moved to pass through a press contact portion between an endless belt being heated and an pressure roller pressed against the endless belt. When passing through the press contact portion, the toner image is fused and permanently affixed onto the recording medium. An oil application width O of an oil application roller is shorter than belt width B of the endless belt, and a maximum passing width P of a recording medium that may be supplied for the image formation, but is longer than a maximum image-forming width I within which an image may be formed on the recording medium.

    摘要： A fixing apparatus, includes a fixing roller which has a middle portion and both end portions in an axis direction thereof, a pressing roller which is brought into press contact with the fixing roller for rotating so that a press contact portion is formed, an exfoliating member which exfoliates a sheet-like record medium from a surface of the fixing roller after the record medium is passed through the press contact portion, and restricting members which is provided at both end portions of the exfoliating member, and is brought into contact with the surface of the fixing roller so that an interval between the surface of the fixing roller and the exfoliating member is restricted. The middle portion of the fixing roller is smaller than the both end portions of the fixing roller in a diameter. The restricting members are brought into contact with first portions of the fixing roller other than second portions of the fixing roller in which end edge portions of the pressing roller are brought into contact with the fixing roller.

    摘要： In a fixing device incorporated in an image forming apparatus and operable to fix a toner image on a recording medium, a first rotative member and a second rotative member form a nip portion therebetween, at which the toner image is fixed on the recording medium. A separator separates the recording medium, which has been passed through the nip portion, from one of the first rotative member and the second rotative member. The separator is provided with a first guide face extending in a first direction to guide the separated recording medium to an inlet of a subsequent stage of the image forming apparatus. The first guide face is provided with a rib extending in the first direction.

    摘要： In order to improve the peeling performance for peeling off a recording medium from a fuser roller and a pressure roller, peeling members 31, 32 are provided which are arranged on the downstream side in the recording medium feeding direction relative to a fixing nip portion to extend in the axial direction of the fuser roller 21 and the pressure roller 22 and are disposed in proximity to the fuser roller and the pressure roller, respectively. The positioning of the peeling member 31 for the fuser roller is conducted on the surface of the fuser roller, and the positioning of the peeling member 32 for the pressure roller is conducted on surfaces of bearings 25 for the pressure roller.

    摘要： A printed article of the present invention is a printed article comprising: a substrate; (1) a toner image which is made of a thermoplastic resin containing wax component in an amount of 3 to 15 wt %, has a surface gloss level of 5-40, and is formed on the substrate by oilless fusing or (2) a toner image which is made of a thermoplastic resin containing wax component in an amount from 3 to 15 wt % and is formed on the substrate by oilless fusing to have a surface gloss level of 25-45 and have a flat surface with a lot of concavities; and a transparent film which is laminated to the surface of the substrate, on which the toner image is formed, via an adhesive layer. The toner image not projected is easy to see (read) because of no shin. The projected image of the toner image is also excellent both in visibility and transparency. That is, the printed article is useful as a printed article for OHP. The printed article is also useful as a high gloss printed article because the toner image has a gloss level corresponding to the gloss level of a non-transparent sheet so as to exhibit good color saturation.
