Abstract:
A liquid containing body is configured to be contained in a liquid containing vessel that is inserted in the −Y axis direction with regard to a mounting section. The liquid containing body includes a flexible liquid containing section containing a liquid, a substrate with a contact section that electrically connects due to contact with regard to an apparatus side terminal section that is provided in the apparatus side wall section, and a substrate support member provided in the liquid containing section and supporting the substrate with a posturing where the contact section faces the −Y axis direction and the +Z axis direction.
Abstract:
A liquid container is configured to be fitted to the carriage of a liquid consumption device including the carriage where a head is provided and that jets, while making the carriage reciprocate, a liquid from the head so as to consume and stores the liquid to be supplied to the head. The liquid container includes: a liquid storage portion configured to store the liquid inside; an undulation reduction portion provided in the liquid storage portion and including a wall surface configured to reduce the undulation of the liquid and be directed in the direction of gravity in a fitting posture where the liquid container is fitted to the carriage; and a support portion configured to support the undulation reduction portion such that the undulation reduction portion is allowed to swing with the liquid and that the movement of the wall surface along the direction of gravity is restricted.
Abstract:
A liquid containing vessel is adapted to be inserted along an insertion direction into a liquid ejecting apparatus having an apparatus side terminal section. The liquid containing vessel includes a liquid containing body that contains a liquid, and a casing section that contains the liquid containing body. The liquid containing body includes a contact section configured and arranged to electrically contact the apparatus side terminal section. The casing section includes a wall section positioned on an insertion direction side of the casing section in the insertion direction. The wall section defines a first opening through which the apparatus side terminal section is inserted to contact the contact section.
Abstract:
In a liquid containing vessel that is inserted in the −Y axis direction with regard to a mounting section, a substrate support member includes a substrate support section configured to hold a substrate, a first side wall along the Y axis and the Z axis, the first side wall being provided more to the +X axis direction side than the substrate support section, and a first ridge section protruding from the first side wall in the −X axis direction and configured to engage with a first apparatus side engaging section that protrudes in the +X axis direction in the apparatus side terminal section.
Abstract:
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge head, an attachment unit, and an operation unit including a display unit. The attachment unit includes a first attachment portion for a first liquid reservoir unit that reserves a first liquid, and a second attachment portion fora second liquid reservoir unit that reserves a second liquid having a sedimentation property inferior to that of the first liquid. A control method includes, in a case in which execution of a replacement mode is instructed, displaying information for prompting removal of the first liquid reservoir unit, displaying information for prompting attachment of a different second liquid reservoir unit from the second liquid reservoir unit attached to the second attachment portion, to the first attachment portion, and supplying the second liquid to nozzles that discharge the first liquid when the different second liquid reservoir unit is attached to the first attachment portion.

Abstract:
In a liquid containing vessel inserted in a −Y axis direction, a substrate support member includes a first engaging section engaging with the liquid containing vessel from a +Z axis direction side at a position more to the −Y axis direction side than a contact section of a substrate, a second engaging section engaging with a liquid containing section at a position more to a +Y axis direction side than the substrate and is provided more to a −Z axis direction side than the contact section, a first pressed section receiving a first pressing force with a component in the −Z axis direction at a position more to the −Y axis direction side than the contact section, and a second pressed section receiving a second pressing force with a component in the −Z axis direction at a position more to the +Y axis direction side than the contact section.
Abstract:
In a liquid containing vessel that is inserted in a −Y axis direction with regard to a mounting section, a substrate support member includes a first engaging section configured to engage with the liquid containing vessel, and a second engaging section configured to engage with a supply side adhering section. The first engaging section includes a position determining section that determines position of the substrate support member with regard to the liquid containing vessel in Z axis directions due to contacting with regard to the liquid containing vessel from a +Z axis direction. The position determining section is configured to regulate movement of the liquid supply member in a −Z axis direction through the supply side adhering section.
Abstract:
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge head, a supply path that supplies a liquid from a liquid supply source to the liquid discharge head, a pump configured to suck and exhaust air, an air suction path in communication with an air suction side of the pump, an air exhaust path in communication with an air exhaust side of the pump, a first storage portion having a portion formed of a flexible wall that is flexible, a first air chamber provided on a side opposite to the first storage portion across the flexible wall and having at least a portion facing the flexible wall and configured to be displaced, and a first switching portion configured to switch a path coupled to the first air chamber between the air suction path and the air exhaust path.
Abstract:
Provided is a technique that makes it possible to mitigate impact acting on a liquid container. The liquid container includes a liquid storage portion that is surrounded by a plurality of wall portions, and contains liquid therein, and a plurality of contact portions that are provided on a first wall portion among the plurality of wall portions, and are in contact with terminals on-the-apparatus-side provided in a liquid consumption apparatus. The contact portions are provided at a position close to a first edge side, at least some of the plurality of contact portions form at least one column arranged along the first edge side, the liquid container includes protruding portions outward of outer contact portions, and the protruding portions are provided between an end portion the first edge side of the outer contact portions and the first edge side in a direction from the first edge side toward the column.
