Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods, apparatuses, systems, and computer-readable mediums for switching from a standby mode to a normal mode. In some embodiments, an electronic device includes a communication interface including a plurality of communication modules configured to communicate with a corresponding plurality of display modules of a display device, a memory storing instructions, and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to transmit, to a first communication module, a first pulse signal configured to turn on the first communication module in a first time period, transmit, to a first display module, a first control signal based on having received a first remote control signal configured to switch the electronic device from the standby mode to a normal mode, and switch the electronic device from the standby mode to the normal mode based on receiving a first response signal indicating reception of the first control signal.

Abstract: An electronic apparatus, including a memory configured to store information related to Graphical User Interface (GUI); a display; and a processor configured to: control the display to display a content area including a content and a black box area generated based on an aspect ratio of the content area and an aspect ratio of the display; based on receiving a user command for displaying a GUI, determine whether the content has a predetermined type based on type information of the content; based on determining that the content has the predetermined type, determine whether the GUI is included in the black box area based on a size of the GUI and a size of the black box area; and based on determining that the GUI is not included in the black box area, adjust a display position of the content area such that the GUI is included in the black box area.

The electronic apparatus includes an input/output interface connected to a source apparatus, a display, and a processor configured to, based on detecting that the source apparatus is connected through the input/output interface, receive identification information of the source apparatus from the source apparatus, and based on the received identification information of the source apparatus, control the display to display a user interface (UI) for changing a resolution, and based on receiving a user input for changing a resolution through the displayed UI, identify whether the source apparatus can transmit a content of the resolution corresponding to the user input based on the identification information of the source apparatus, and based on identifying that the source apparatus can transmit a content of the resolution corresponding to the user input, transmit a signal requesting the content of the resolution corresponding to the user input to the source apparatus.

Abstract: Provided is a display device including: an inputter/outputter comprising circuitry configured to request a content providing device to provide content at a first resolution and receive a first image at the first resolution from the content providing device, a display configured to display the first image, a memory storing one or more instructions, and a processor configured to execute the one or more instructions stored in the memory to: change a resolution requested to the content providing device from the first resolution to a second resolution, control the display to receive a second image from the content providing device and display the received second image in response to the change of the requested resolution, determine whether an error occurs in the displayed second image, and change the requested resolution from the second resolution to the first resolution based on an error occurring in the second image.
