Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for receiving neighbor BS information by a mobile station in a wireless communication system. The mobile station receives a neighbor BS information message. It is determined whether operator ID information identifying a network operator of a neighbor BS is not included in the neighbor BS information message. Operator information of the neighbor BS is determined as operator information of a serving BS, if it is determined that the operator ID information is not included in the neighbor BS information message.
