    Abstract: A cleaning robot includes a main body having an exterior portion extending along a perimeter of the main body; wheels that are drivable to move the robot; a rotation shaft; and a holder coupled to the rotation shaft to support a cleaning pad. The rotation shaft and the holder are rotatable along a rotation axis that is perpendicular to the surface to be cleaned, and the rotation shaft is laterally movable in a direction perpendicular to the rotation axis to: a pop-in position in which the rotation shaft and the holder are under the main body and not protruding beyond the exterior portion of the main body, and a pop-out position in which the rotation shaft is under the main body and not protruding beyond the exterior portion and the holder is partially under the main body and partially protruding beyond the exterior portion of the main body.

    Abstract: A robot cleaner for generating accurate travelling records regardless of floor material is provided. The robot cleaner includes a main body, a drive wheel installed on the main body, a drive motor configured to rotate the drive wheel, a travelling sensor configured to detect rotation of the drive wheel, a first optical sensor configured to detect an obstacle located in a moving direction of the main body, a cleaning tool configured to clean a floor, a second optical sensor configured to acquire an image of the floor, and a processor electrically connected to the drive motor, the travelling sensor, the first optical sensor, and the second optical sensor. The processor is configured to control a memory to store a movement record of the main body based on an output of the travelling sensor and an output of the second optical sensor, calculate a distance moved by the main body based on an output of the second optical sensor in response to detection of an obstacle, and control a cleaning tool to clean a floor in the vicinity of the obstacle in response to the distance travelled by the main body that is calculated as being greater than a threshold distance.

    Abstract: A robot cleaner station includes a cleaner docking portion to which a robot cleaner is docked and including an suction port in communication with a dust collector of the robot cleaner when the robot clear is docked to the cleaner docking portion, a collector including a collection chamber in which dust sucked from the dust collector through the suction port is collected, and a station suction device configured to generate a suction force to suck the dust from the dust collector to the collection chamber, and a connector configured to connect the suction port to the collection chamber. The connector includes a guide portion in communication with the suction port, a suction tube provided in the collection chamber to allow the dust which is guided by the guide portion to be sucked to the collection chamber, and a connection hose configured to connect the guide portion to the suction tube.
