Abstract: A user equipment includes a transceiver configured to receive a demodulated reference signal (DMRS) having a predetermined pattern and a downlink signal including data from a base station, and a processor configured to generate estimated interference and noise by estimating interference and noise of a first channel of the DMRS corresponding to first tabs, based on temporary channel estimates corresponding to the DMRS and first channel estimation weights of the first tabs corresponding to a first minimum mean square error (MMSE) scheme, and generate compensated interference and noise by compensating for the estimated interference and noise, based on at least one of the first channel estimation weights.

Abstract: A method of a base station, includes: receiving, from a reference UE within a coverage of the base station, user equipment (UE) capability information and identifying whether the reference UE is capable of performing full-duplex communication; transmitting, to the reference UE, uplink timing information of an interfering UE, wherein the interfering UE is geographically adjacent to the reference UE; receiving, from the reference UE, a cross-link interference (CLI) measurement report; and transmitting, to the reference UE, information about an uplink channel, based on the CLI measurement report, wherein the uplink channel acts as interference to the reference UE.
