摘要: A method and apparatus for managing communications in a wireless communication system such as a WiFi system, at an access point, are provided. Various measurements such as number of devices connected to the access point and using a wireless channel, number of devices not connected to the access point but contending for a wireless channel, proportion of time a wireless channel is in use, transmission quality of a wireless channel, interference due to wireless activity according to a process other than the protocol of the communication system, and interference due to wireless activity according to a different process, are made. Based on the measurements, decisions of how to partition a portion of spectrum into a number of channels as well as the number of channels, or decisions of whether to enable or disable such channels or portions of spectrum, are made.

摘要: Methods and systems for detecting and mitigating the effects of time of flight interference of a radio frequency (RF) signal are provided. A wireless communication network may determine, based on one or more parameters being sufficiently different than a baseline value, that time of flight interference is occurring based on the undesirable propagation of a first cell's downlink signals into a second cell's coverage area. In response to the determination, the network may identify an offending base station and modify the RF transmission characteristics of the offending base station to prevent or mitigate the impact of the interference event on the RF signal's propagation.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for monitoring and controlling access to coexisting first and second networks within a venue. In one embodiment, the first network is a managed content delivery network that includes one or more wireless access points (APs) in data communication with a backend controller which communicates with a dedicated background scanner. The background scanner scans for coexisting networks within the venue, and reports this to the controller. In one variant, the controller dynamically adjusts transmit characteristics of the AP(s) to manage interference between the coexisting networks. In another variant, the controller causes the energy detect threshold of a client device to be lowered so that the device may detect WLAN signals in a scenario where a coexisting RAT (for example, LTE-U or LTE-LAA) occupies the same channel and/or frequency.

A system includes a first user equipment (UE) module and a second UE module, a first base station (BS) module associated with the first UE module, and a second BS module associated with the second UE module. In one examples, the UE may receive downlink scheduling information comprising an indication of a first set of downlink resources and a second set of downlink resources within a slot, wherein the first set of downlink resources and the second set of downlink resources correspond to a first downlink subband, and wherein the first set of downlink resources include at least a first frequency-domain resource outside of a frequency-domain of the second set of downlink resources. In some examples the UE may receive a first downlink signal via the first set of downlink resources, and a second downlink signal via the second set of downlink resources.

The method includes receiving at a central unit gNB one or more messages from one or more distributed units. Each message that is received comprises an identification of the distributed unit that sent the message and an identification of a victim distributed unit that experienced interference. The method further includes merging the one or more messages into single merged message. The method additionally includes sending the merged message to at least the victim distributed unit.
