Abstract: A method and an electronic device are provided for displaying content. The electronic device includes a display unit that includes a display unit configured to display an image in a first area and display text in a second area, when content including the image and the text are provided; and a controller configured to detect a user input provided on the display unit, move a portion of the content in response to the user input, and display an undisplayed portion of at least one of the image and the text in the first and second areas of the display unit, respectively.
