    Abstract: According to various embodiments, an electronic device may comprise: at least one antenna and a communication processor. The communication processor may be configured to: transmit a system information request to a base station through the at least one antenna, identify an electric field state of a reception signal, in response to a failure in the system information request, set a retransmission period of the system information request based on the identified electric field state of the reception signal, and retransmit the system information request based on the set retransmission period of the system information request.
