    Abstract: An electronic device includes a power supply; a display including light-emitting diodes (“LED”s), a projection lens, and a waveguide arranged in a way such that light emitted from the LEDs is input to the waveguide through the projection lens, and light-outputting efficiency of the waveguide for a first color is higher than light-outputting efficiency of the waveguide for a second color; a memory; and a processor which determines a first driving power for a first LED which emits light of the first color and a second driving power for a second LED which emits light of the second color based on the light-outputting efficiencies of the waveguide for the first color and the second color, and controls the power supply in a way such that the first and second driving powers are supplied to the first and second LEDs, respectively.

    Abstract: An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention may comprise: a camera including a lens assembly having one or more lenses, and a driving unit that can adjust focus by moving at least some of the lenses (a portion of the lenses) of the lens assembly; a memory; and a processor operatively connected to the lens assembly, the camera, and the memory. According to one embodiment, the processor can adjust the focus of an external object by: using the camera to obtain a first image and a second image of the external object, the first image corresponding to a first position of the portion of the lenses and the second image corresponding to a second position of the portion of the lenses; using the first image and the second image to determine conditions related to contrast characteristics of the external object; using the first image, the second image, and a designated point spread function to determine a first movement direction and the amount of movement of the portion of the lenses on the basis of the conditions satisfying a designated first condition; and moving the portion of the lenses according to the determined first movement direction and the determined amount of movement. According to one embodiment, the processor uses the contrast difference between the external object included in the first image and the second image to determine a second movement direction of the portion of the lenses on the basis of the conditions satisfying a designated second condition, and can adjust the focus of the external object on the basis of at least the contrast change of one or more images obtained while moving the portion of the lenses along the determined second movement direction. Other embodiments are also possible.

    Abstract: An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes at least one processor electrically connected with an image sensor and a memory. The memory stores instructions, when executed, causing the processor to obtain an image through the image sensor, segment the obtained image into the plurality of regions, calculate values of a first parameter for each of the plurality of regions based on the reference color components indicating a representative color of each of the plurality of regions, calculate values of a second parameter for each of the plurality of regions based on first pixel values output from the plurality of first light receiving elements included in each of the plurality of regions and second pixel values output from the plurality of second light receiving elements, determine a type of a light source corresponding to each of the plurality of regions, based on a value of the second reference parameter included in data about the correlationship corresponding to the calculated values of the first parameter and values of the second parameter calculated for each of the plurality of regions, and determine a type of a light source of the image based on the determined types of the light source. In addition, various other embodiments recognized from the specification are also possible.
