摘要: An optical structure for an augmented reality display includes a waveguide and an input diffractive optical structure to receive light from a projector and couple the received light into the waveguide. An output diffractive optical structure, comprising first and second diffractive optical elements overlaid on one another in or on the waveguide, receives light from the input diffractive optical element in an input direction. The first diffractive optical element has a high diffraction efficiency relative to the second diffractive optical element. A first portion of the first diffractive optical element couples light from the input direction towards a second portion, and the second diffractive optical element couples light from the input direction away from the second portion. The second portion couples light from the input direction towards the first portion, and the second diffractive optical element couples light from the input direction away from the first portion.

摘要: Systems, devices, media, and methods are presented for using a flexible electronic device to selectively interact with an eyewear device. A portable eyewear device includes a processor, a memory, and a display projected onto at least one lens assembly. A flexible electronic device includes an integrated circuit, a plurality of input sensors, and a power system, all mounted on a flexible substrate that is sized and shaped to conform to a graspable object such as a ring. The flexible electronic device operates according to a power budget, operating on a sensor power budget until it detects a first interaction with at least one of the input sensors. If the first interaction exceeds a sensitivity threshold, the flexible electronic device sends a wake signal to a nearby eyewear device. In response to the wake signal, the eyewear device presents a graphical user interface (GUI) on the display. The eyewear device further presents a cursor along a path on the display that is substantially correlated to the course traveled by the flexible electronic device in motion along a course.

摘要: An electronic device may include a display panel configured to produce light and a lens assembly that receives the light from the display panel. The lens assembly may be a catadioptric lens assembly with a partially reflective layer, lens element, quarter wave plate, and reflective polarizer. Some of the light emitted by the display panel may be reflected by the catadioptric lens assembly away from the catadioptric lens assembly. A supplemental mirror may be used to reflect this light back towards the catadioptric lens assembly. The supplemental mirror may increase the field-of-view of images viewable through the catadioptric lens assembly. The supplemental mirror may have a dithered upper surface or a phase-shift mask.

The inter pupillary distance adjustment method includes: after a user wears the head-mounted display device, controlling the IPD adjustment mechanism to move by a first distance in a first direction, where the first distance is used to eliminate a backlash error of the IPD adjustment mechanism; and controlling the IPD adjustment mechanism to operate and move by a second distance in a second direction, where the IPD adjustment mechanism drives the two optical display modules to move, and a distance between the two optical display modules after the movement matches an inter pupillary distance of the user.

摘要: A method and a system for image-guided intervention such as a percutaneous treatment or diagnosis of a patient may include at least one of a pre-registration method and a re-registration method. The pre-registration method is configured to permit for an efficient virtual representation of a planned trajectory to target tissue during the intervention, for example, as a holographic light ray shown through an augmented reality system. In turn, this allows the operator to align a physical instrument such as a medical probe for the intervention. The re-registration method is configured to adjust for inaccuracy in the virtual representation generated by the pre-registration method, as determined by live imaging of the patient during the intervention. The re-registration method may employ the use of intersectional contour lines to define the target tissue as viewed through the augmented reality system, which permits for an unobstructed view of the target tissue for the intervention.

The electronic display, the aspherical lens and the front surface mirror are arranged within the housing, and the heads-up display apparatus minimises refocusing of an eye of a user when looking from a primary task to the display and back to the primary task.
