A method and apparatus for controlling vibration in a portable device are provided. The method includes detecting a user input corresponding to a gesture made on a touch screen by an input device, detecting an action attribute of the portable device corresponding to the user input, determining a first vibration to be output from the input device and a second vibration to be output from the portable device according to the action attribute, and controlling output of the first vibration from the input device and output of the second vibration from the portable device according to the action attribute.
Abstract:
A terminal and a method of providing a user interface using a pen are provided. The terminal includes a pen attachment/detachment perception switch configured to detect attachment and detachment of a pen; a touch screen panel configured to detect a state of the pen; and a controller configured to activate a terminal screen when a signal corresponding to the detachment of the pen from the pen attachment/detachment perception switch has been received, and to display a menu item list, including one or more applications, on the terminal screen when a hovering event by the pen has been detected by the touch screen panel.
