A situation based information providing system including a user interface and a server is provided. The user terminal includes: a display; a communicator configured to communicate with another user terminal located within a predetermined distance or range from the user terminal; and a controller configured to receive terminal identification information from the other user terminal, and to control, in response to the received terminal identification information of the other user terminal, time information, and location information of the user terminal satisfying pre-set conditions, the display to display information related to a situation which corresponds to the pre-set conditions.

A method of displaying a user interface (UI) on a screen of a device is provided. The method includes selecting, when an event occurs, a first object, which is related to the event, from among the one or more objects included in the UI, determining a second object for executing a second operation related to a first operation, the first operation being executed when the first object is selected by an input to the device, and changing the first object into the second object.

A user terminal device including a screen processor which creates home screen divided into a plurality of spaces provided with different features from each other, a storage which stores data and programs that can be matched with at least one space, a display which displays one space from among the plurality of spaces, and a controller which controls the display to convert the space displayed on the display to another space according to a user's manipulation is provided. The controller controls the screen processor to constitute the plurality of spaces by using data and programs matched with the plurality of spaces, respectively.
