Abstract: A communication device includes a display screen upon which information is displayed. A microprocessor configured to execute at least one notification program is provided that displays a notification descriptive of an access control request on the display screen. The at least one notification program is programmed to receive data indicative of an access control request and to receive data descriptive of the access control request. Additionally, the at least one notification program is further programmed to display a notification indicative of the access control request and comprising an explanation of the access control request based on the received descriptive data.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for presenting notifications that can receive input data. The techniques include presenting a notification in response to occurrence of an event, wherein the notification is associated with a specified data type and a data source from which data is to be received, receiving input data of the specified data type from the data source, wherein the notification is presented until the input data is received, and storing the input data. The notification can block access to a user interface of at least one application until the input data is received. The data source can be a data entry component of a user interface that receives user input, or can be an application that provides data of the specified data type, and receiving input data can include requesting data of the specified data type from the application, and receiving the input data from the application via inter-process communication.

Abstract: A positioning method and a mobile device, where the method is applied to the mobile device and includes periodically detecting a status of the mobile device, where the status of the mobile device includes a driving state and a walking state, positioning the mobile device using a first positioning algorithm when detecting that a quantity of times that the driving state consecutively occurs reaches M, where the M is an integer greater than one, and positioning the mobile device using a second positioning algorithm when detecting that a quantity of times that the walking state consecutively occurs reaches N, where the N is an integer greater than one. Hence, the status of the mobile device can be more accurately determined by implementing this technical solution to position the mobile device using a positioning algorithm matching an actual status of the mobile device, thereby improving accuracy of a positioning result.

Abstract: A method is provided for acoustically reproducing a digital audio medium, in particular an audiobook, in a motor vehicle, in particular a two- or four-wheel motor vehicle, which has a navigation system that determines the current geographical position of the vehicle, wherein at least first information on the roadway section currently being traversed is assigned to the geographical position. In order to reproduce a digital audio medium in a motor vehicle in a user-friendly manner, the following steps are proposed: a first comparison is carried out in order to determine whether the information on the roadway section currently being traversed, the information being assigned to the current geographical position, indicates a roadway section which requires increased attention from the operator of the motor vehicle; in the event of a positive first comparison, the reproduction of the audio medium is interrupted; a second comparison is carried out in order to determine whether the information on the roadway section currently being traversed, the information being assigned to the current geographical position, continues to indicate a roadway section which requires increased attention from the operator of the motor vehicle; in the event of a positive second comparison, the reproduction of the audio medium is further interrupted; and in the event of a negative second comparison, the reproduction of the audio medium is continued.
