    摘要: An authoring system and authoring method to assigning a real geo-spatial position to sensory-effect data representing virtual sensations, including a virtual sound sensation. The system includes an author interface for displaying a representation of a real geo-space, means for accepting the sensory-effect data, and means for an author to assign the virtual sensory effect data to a location within the displayed representation corresponding to a real location within the geo-space, such that a user has the sensation of the virtual sound coming from the location assigned for the sensory-effect data.

    摘要: A system for providing a listener with an augmented audio reality in a geographical environment said system comprising a position locating system for determining a current position and orientation of a listener in said geographical environment; an audio track creation system for creating an audio track having a predetermined spatialization component dependent on an apparent location of an apparent source associated with said audio track in said geographical environment; an audio track rendering system adapted to render an audio signal based on said audio track to a series of speakers surrounding said listener such that said listener experiences an apparent preservation of said spatialization component; and an audio track playback system interconnected to said position locating system and said audio track creation system and adapted to forward a predetermined audio track to said audio rendering system for rendering depending on said current position and orientation of said listener in said geographical environment.

    摘要: An interactive spatialized audiovisual system links a plurality of remote used terminals. The system comprises a networked computer having an associated user database including user status information. Input means are provided at the computer for receiving a plurality of audio streams and associated locating data from the remote user terminals for, virtually locating the users relative to one another within a virtual user environment such as a chat room environment Selection means are provided for enabling selection of at least the first group of the audio streams in a first selection process based on status information in the user database. Output means output the selected group of audio streams and associated locating data for spatialization of the audio streams relative to a first listener-based audio reference frame which is substantially coherent with visual representations of the audio sources defined by the locating data at the first user terminal. Merging means are provided for merging at least some of the audio streams into a merged audio stream for transmittal to the first and other user terminal, with the merged audio stream being spatialized so as to provide for a spatialized background audio effect in the audio reference frame at the user terminal.
