A method for assisting in the piloting of an aircraft during a mission, the method being implemented by computer and includes a step of calculating events by a plurality of application components or capabilities, each capability having a competency domain and being configured according to one and the same logic format, the events being calculated based on data acquired from various certified or non-certified avionics sources and/or from various sources external or internal to the aircraft; a step of calculating the impact on carrying out the current mission of the aircraft, based on at least one calculated event; an impact processing step; and a step of determining at least one solution for adapting the current mission of the aircraft.

A device for assisting in the piloting of an aircraft, includes a competency module comprising a plurality of application components or capabilities, each capability having a competency domain and being configured according to one and the same logic format to calculate events based on data acquired from various certified or non-certified avionics sources and/or from various sources external or internal to the aircraft, and to process solution requests and generate solution proposals; a processing module comprising components that are configured to determine the presence of an impact on the current mission of the aircraft, either from a calculated event or from a solution proposal; a solution module comprising components that are configured to send solution requests based on the presence of an impact, and components that are configured to construct a solution for adapting the current mission of the aircraft based on at least one solution proposal; and a management module comprising components that are configured to manage conflicts and priorities of streams, and components that are configured to direct the exchanges between the various modules of the device.

A method for creating a vertical trajectory profile of an aircraft by optimization of a criterion representative of a flight cost, comprises: performing a first iterative computation of a profile free of altitude constraints as long as a condition dependent on the criterion is not reached, replacing each free level of the constraint-free profile with a permitted level so as to generate an initial constrained profile comprising a plurality of permitted levels, and, for each level, an altitude change point and a plurality of speeds, and performing a second iterative computation of a profile in which the altitude levels to be reached remain constant, equal to the initial permitted levels of the initial constrained profile, as long as a condition dependent on the criterion is not reached.
Abstract:
A computer equipment comprises a trackball used to point to objects on a screen of the equipment. A method for driving the computer equipment is also provided. The trackball comprises a moving part and a body inside which the moving part can be displaced, the computer being configured to display at least one object and a pointer on the screen. The trackball comprises means making it possible to exert a tangential force on the moving part, means driven by the computer. The computer is configured to modulate the force according to the shape of the object displayed and the position of the pointer relative to the object.
