A contact face between the particular switch located within a certain range of the distance from the semiconductor device, and the pressure conveying portion corresponding to the particular switch, has a smaller area as compared to that of a contact face between the non-particular switch, which is a switch other than the particular switch, and the pressure conveying portion corresponding to the non-particular switch.

    摘要: Disclosed is a light-emitting display having a plurality of pixels wherein each pixel comprises a light-emitting device (100) having a light-emitting element layer which is formed between a first electrode and a second electrode and contains at least a light-emitting layer. An insulating layer (30) is formed between the light-emitting device (100) and a surface of a first or second substrate on the viewing side of the display, and the insulating layer (30) is provided with recesses and projections in at least one or more pixel regions, thereby forming an optical path length adjusting portion (32). By forming such an optical path length adjusting portion (32) in a pixel region, there is an increase in the interference conditions for the light emitted from the light-emitting device (100) to the outside, thereby averaging the interference.

On the other hand, red and blue pixels comprise organic EL elements having an emissive layer which emits white light. The white emissive layer is composed of a lamination of an orange organic emissive layer and a blue organic emissive layer. The red and blue pixels are further provided with red and blue color filters, respectively, to limit the emitted white light to those colors.

    摘要: A pixel electrode for driving liquid crystal is formed on a planarization insulator film covering a thin film transistor, and a vertical alignment film without rubbing treatment is formed on the pixel electrode. An alignment control window that has electrode-free portion is formed in a common electrode, and a vertical alignment film is formed on the common electrode without rubbing treatment. The liquid crystal having negative dielectric constant anisotropy is controlled in an initial direction of the substantially normal direction without pretilt. Upon applying a voltage, the tilt of the alignment is controlled in the direction of a slanting electric field at the edge of the pixel electrode and the edge of the alignment control window, so that pixel division is performed. Since rubbing treatment is not performed, electrostatic breakdown of the thin film transistor is prevented and, because a black matrix is eliminated, aperture ratio is improved.

Such a structure can be realized, for example, by changing a thickness of a transparent electrode which is a lower electrode of the element. Because peak wavelength that can be intensified can be varied among regions in one pixel having different cavity lengths, a viewing angle dependency is improved.

    摘要: The invention prevents moisture infiltration into a pixel region and improves reliability of an organic EL display device. A plurality of pixels is disposed in a matrix on a device substrate to form a pixel region. Each of the pixels in the pixel region is provided with an organic EL element and a driving transistor for driving the organic EL element. Furthermore, organic interlayer insulating films are formed on the driving transistor and under the organic EL element. The device substrate and a sealing substrate are attached with a sealing member disposed on a peripheral region of the pixel region. The organic interlayer insulating films are separated by a separating region provided between the sealing member and the pixel region.
