摘要： A sub-lip is provided on an interior side wall portion of a main body having a U-shaped cross section in a vertical section of a glass run. The sub-lip extends from the interior side wall portion of the main body while inclined towards an inner side of a glass opening. A projecting length of the sub-lip is set such that a distal end portion of the sub-lip is brought into contact with a back surface of an interior seal lip when a door glass is inserted into an inner space of the main body.

摘要： A sub-lip is provided on an interior side wall portion of a main body having U-shaped cross section in a vertical section of the glass run (an extruded portion). The sub-lip extends substantially linearly on a side of an inner space of the main body while inclined towards an inner side of a glass opening. The sub-lip is formed integrally with the interior side wall portion simultaneously to extrusion of the interior side wall portion. A projecting length of the sub-seal is set such that a distal end portion of the sub-lip is brought into contact with a back surface of the interior seal lip when the door glass is inserted into the inner space of the main body.

摘要： An automobile weather strip has a trim part having a substantially U-shaped section and a sealing part. The automobile weather strip is characterized in that: the trim part has an insert member and a covering material for covering the insert member; the covering member is provided with holding lips for holding a flange part on an inner surface of the trim part; a sponge material of a rubber formed by using a blend material of an EPDM rubber and an olefin-based thermoplastic synthetic resin and a sponge material of a rubber having physical properties of a specific gravity of 0.6 to 0.8 and a 25%-stretching stress of 500 KPa or more are used as the covering material.

摘要： A weather strip 4 has been equipped with: a trim portion 5 which is mounted on a flange portion 23 provided along a circumference portion of a door opening corresponding to a door 2; and a seal portion 6 having a hallow portion 6a, which is projected from the trim portion 5 to an outer side of a vehicle. The seal portion 6 has been provided with a thicker-thickness portion 41 at a portion which abuts against a peripheral portion of the door 2 when the door 2 is closed. Furthermore, each of a door opening inner circumferential-sided portion and a door opening outer circumferential-sided portion within the seal portion 2, which are located adjacent to the thicker-thickness portion 41, has been constructed as a thinner-thickness portion 42 which is made thinner than the thicker-thickness portion 41. Also, a bridge 34 has been provided on an inner side of the seal portion 6, while the bridge 34 couples the door opening outer circumferential-sided portion within the seal portion 6 to a vehicle outer-sided side wall portion 12 rather than the thinner-thickness portion 42 provided on the door opening outer circumferential side.

摘要： A weather strip has a trim portion and a seal portion. The trim portion has a vehicle interior side wall, a vehicle exterior side wall, and a connecting portion. A metal insert is embedded in the trim portion. The insert has piece portions and a center bond portion which connects the piece portions to one another. The thickness of each of parts of the insert, which are other than both curved parts, is set to be thinner than the thickness of each of both the curved parts. Thus, the thickness of the insert, except for the curved parts, is small. Consequently, the entire insert, thus, the entire weather strip can be lightened. On the other hand, both the curved parts are relatively thick. Accordingly, the weather strip can assure predetermined strength and stiffness and can easily maintain an initial shape.

摘要： A main body of automotive glass run assumes a substantially U-shaped cross section consisting of a vehicle-exterior side wall, an interior side wall, and a bottom wall and is provided with a vehicle-exterior seal lip and an interior seal lip. The bottom wall is made of a solid material or a microfoaming solid material, and the vehicle-exterior side wall and the interior side wall are made from a sponge material. A vehicle-exterior projection, which assumes a triangular cross-sectional profile and whose top inwardly protrudes so as to be able to contact a door glass, is formed on an interior surface of the vehicle-exterior side wall. A low sliding resistance material layer is formed on a surface of the vehicle-exterior projection.
