Abstract: A slide switch includes a moving contact contained within a slider that moves between a plurality of desired stationary contacts. A clicking thruster provided with resiliency by a resilient member such as a spring produces a clicking sensation during switching by engaging with clicking thruster recesses. A through hole is provided in the slider, and the moving contact is positioned within the through hole in opposition to the stationary contacts. The clicking thruster is positioned in opposition to the clicking thruster recesses, and the resilient member is fit in between the moving contact and the clicking thruster.

Abstract: A lever switch includes an insulating substrate formed from a plastics material which has opposed substrate walls protruding from a surface thereof. An operating lever is positioned between and hingedly connected to the opposed substrate walls so as to be pivotally movable between at least first and second positions. A movable contact piece, which has a pair of contact regions, is positioned at a lower end of the operating lever so as to be movable therewith between said first and second positions. A pair of fixed contact piece supporting walls each extend from a respective one of the opposed substrate walls. First and second conductive fixed contact pieces are positioned on respective inner surfaces of one and another of the fixed contact piece supporting walls such that the movable contact piece is positioned therebetween and is capable of contact therewith when the lever is pivoted between the first and second positions. The first and second fixed contact pieces each have a portion which extends to an exterior of the fixed contact piece supporting walls. The first contact piece has a depression in an inner surface thereof and the second fixed contact piece is positioned in opposition to the depression. In such a manner, the contact regions of the movable contact make electrical contact with the depression and the second fixed contact piece when the lever is in one of its first and second positions.

Abstract: A switch device includes an insulating base formed of a plastics material which defines upper and lower switch operation spaces, a pair of confronting hinge bosses interposed between the upper and lower switch operating spaces, and a lamp-mounting space. An operation lever having upper and lower ends is pivotally coupled to the hinge bosses such that the upper end extends into the upper switch operation space and a lower end extends into the lower switch operating space. In this manner, the operation lever may be pivotally moved between first and second states. The lower end of the operation lever includes a bridge portion which establishes a hole such that an an opposed pair of resilient contact members associated with a U-shaped movable contact are disposed adjacent to the hole and are thereby capable of being resiliently displaced therewithin. A lamp-holding connector is mounted to the base for holding a lamp within a lamp-mounting space. First and second fixed contacts form an electrical circuit through the lamp held by the lamp-holding connector and are disposed within the lower switch operating space such that the resilient contact members of the U-shaped movable contact makes electrical contact with the first and second fixed contacts when the operation lever is in the first state, and breaks electrical contact between the first and second fixed contacts when the operation lever is in the second state. As such, an electrical circuit is made and broken to turn a lamp held by the lamp-holding connector on and off, respectively.
