Abstract: There is provided a method (40) of correcting blade pitch in a wind turbine (10) having a tower (12) and a plurality of rotor blades (18). The method (40) comprises: receiving (410) sensor output data from one or more wind turbine sensors (141), the sensor output data including data indicative of excitation of the tower (12) for a plurality of different pitch angles of a particular one of the blades (18); determining (420) a corrected pitch reference of the particular blade (18), the corrected pitch reference corresponding to a minimum tower excitation based on the received sensor output data; and, sending (430) the corrected pitch reference to a pitch actuator system (24) of the particular blade (18).

Abstract: Aspects of the present invention relate to a method for controlling one or more wind turbine generators. The method comprises: receiving a trigger signal, and implementing an active power boost mode during a predetermined time period in response to receiving the trigger signal. The active power boost mode comprises: disregarding further trigger signals; and generating one or more upper active power limits for each of the one or more wind turbine generators, wherein, during at least a first portion of the predetermined time period, the one or more upper active power limits are fixed at an active power boost level that is greater than a nominal active power level of the one or more wind turbine generators.

Abstract: Apparatus for treating a surface of a wind turbine blade (14), comprising an expandable structure (22) that is deployable from a collapsed state into an expanded state in which the structure defines an elongated treatment zone (32) into which a blade (14) is receivable in use. The apparatus includes treating means (52) arranged to apply a treatment in the treatment zone. Also provided is a method for treating a wind turbine blade (14) including: positioning a wind turbine blade in a substantially vertical orientation; locating an expandable structure (22) adjacent the wind turbine blade; deploying the expandable structure (22) about the blade (14) such that the expandable structure (22) defines an elongated treatment zone (32) which receives at least part of the blade (14); and applying surface treatment to the surface of the blade (14) using the expandable structure (22).

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining power set points of a power plant comprising a plurality of power generating units with at least one wind turbine generator. The determination of the power set points are based on a prioritization of the power generating units, where the power generating units are prioritized with respect to individual power levels or fatigue levels obtained for the power generating units. The prioritization is adjusted so that the adjusted prioritization depends both on the power and fatigue levels.

Abstract: A wind turbine controller includes a thrust limiter for controlling the thrust of the blades of wind turbine using an estimate of the air density at the wind turbine. In one embodiment, the controller receives the blade flap load indicating the current load on one of the blades which varies linearly to the air density experienced by the wind turbine. In one embodiment, the controller determines the mean of a plurality of the blade flap load values measured during a predefined time period. Using a transfer function, the controller converts the mean of the blade flap loads to an estimate of the air density at the turbine. Generally, higher air density results in greater loads on the blades while lower air density results in lower loads on the blades.
